One Day at a Time

Gently and quietly emerging from a funk that has chocked my creativity and my ability to 'just do it'.

Have to admit that it is okay to forgive myself for just being in the moment and going with it.

Note to self...do not compare myself with others who seem to be able to paint a room, sew some slipcovers, go shopping for the perfect accessories, put the room back together, photograph it all, and write a blog on it all in one day. Okay, then. ☺

At my age (cough, cough), I have finally begun to see life at a slower pace and am enjoying the simpler things.
Don't want it all or need it all, either.

I believe I have found myself while savoring every moment...

Cindy

I love your post! I do think you get a lot more done than you think you do. We all have such high expectations. Looking at so many blogs makes us wonderful just how talented we are. lol I'm one of your newer followers and I do enjoy your posts. Great message!!

I love your posts too and be yourself. This is the last projest I plan on doing for a long time. Now I can't wait for Spring to just be outside and plop my but on my porch at the end of the day and relax.
Hugs!

My dear, I don't know how old you are, but if you are at least as old as me you also know that without the view, without the peace, without the serenity, the love of family...... none of the *frosting* would matter anyhow!

I like your post too ~ no beating around the bush ~ get right to the point!!!
I think we expect to much out of ourself and think we can do it all!!!
After all we are Female!!! And I think we have a hard time with a slower pace ~ we're just natural busy bodies ~ that's why you see us have those blah moments ~ we need to regenerate!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day!

I like your post too...I sure can't do it all. I let the house mess go for things I'd rather be doing. That's why I will never post a perfectly set table or an immaculate and perfectly arranged room...what's that!!!!

One day at a time is exactly how it should be. Forget about yesterday because you can't change it. Don't worry about tomorrow because it's not here yet. It is a blessing to be in a place that you savor the moment because it's all we have. Here. Now.

Yeah. I can't do that all in one day either. We have been remodeling our house since the day we moved in - 4 years ago! Just take it one day at a time!

I know I always get a little melancholy in January. Deciding to do the Fancy Flea perked me up! I was going to make polka dot aprons to wear....You are a genius, I will add big deep pockets for all the money LOL!

Cindy,

Love all your posts! I can certainly relate on taking life at a slower pace. Women in general tend to beat themselves up if their expectations are not met on a daily basis. I tell our youngest(adult w/career) daughter "One day at time". She wants to do it all....like now!lol Multitasking+++ We are human and not machines. We need to give ourselves a pat on the back...now and then. It is nice to simplify and just slow it down a notch.

Capture the moment and cherish it always! Enjoy! life :o) Have a wonderful week!

Blessings!

I love your way of thinking and SO agree with you! There seems to be so much of everyone trying to "outdo" each other these days....I just love our old farmhouse and enjoy redoing with old stuff. You made my day reading this tonight...Feeling kind of tired from the day...Blessings to you..Love your blog!
