Rag Quilting

I made my first rag easy and so fun.
Anyone can make one and have it completed within a few days.

This one is for my first grandbaby who will make his?/her? grand debut in a few weeks.
I'm so excited.

I discovered the art of rag quilting on Pinterest. There are so many wonderful tutorials on the internet including YouTube. If interested, just do a search or let me know and I'll send you a link to what I used.

Do you quilt?

How adorable Cindy! I made one a few years ago and I still love mine. I know you're excited about that grandbaby....there's nothing like the love of a grandchild and you will experience that same feeling very soon.

Love that rag quilt you made..........great job! I have started some quilt squares but have not completed a quilt. (I sew by hand) I believe I have a book stashed away somewhere that has directions for rag quilting, may have to dig it out!
I can tell you are very excited about the arrival of that new grand baby.
Have fun,

What a Beautiful quilt, Cindy! I have seen these before and always wondered how difficult they were to make. I will have to look into it. I would like to make a small one to use in the recliner. THanks for sharing.

That's lovely, Cindy! Looks soft and cuddly! My youngest, Zac, received a quilt like this when he was born and I have been wanting to try making one myself. My oldest daughter and her hubby are trying for baby #2, so that be the excuse I need to finally do it! Keep us posted with the arrival of your 1st!

How exciting to have a new grand baby on the way!!
I do quilt, but it has been awhile since I made one. I used to work in a quilt shop and even taught some classes. The rag quilts are really fun to make. Love the one you made...beautiful fabrics and perfect colors for your new grand baby.

You made more than a rag quilt, you crafted an heirloom.
