There's a change in the air.
The garden is slowing down.
Acorns are beginning to drop.

And the geese on the lake are beginning their fall ritual.

Every year it's like clockwork.

Between 6:30 and 7:00 pm, they take flight.

They leave the lake in three separate groups.
And return in the morning.

This goes on every fall...every clockwork.

Talk about acorns falling! All night long, on the roof...wakes me up! We have a very good crop this year, it will keep the squirrels happy!

It has warmed up a bit here, but I can tell that Fall is not far away...the birds are starting to flock and today I saw a few trees with some yellow and orange leaves. Yep...Fall is not far away!!

The geese are on our pond and I have some trees starting to get some tints of yellow and red. My garden is really slowing down, but not those weeds!
Have fun,

How beautiful your part of the world is! We're in a flyway for ducks and geese, but they are usually pretty high up. I love watching them fly over. Your photos remind me that Fall IS very close--and I'm so glad--it's my favorite time of the year!

Hi Cindy, Look at those birds! Yes, it is starting to get a little Fall like here as well. Already some leaves changing color in my yard. Eeek? Isn't it too early? I wanted to come visit some of my favorite blogging buddies today. Thank you so much for your kind words on my most recent blog post. I am still in healing mode, but really miss my blog friends. I loved looking through your recent posts I have missed! I don't understand the insulator you found? It looks like a street light?
