Halloween, Anyone?

Nope.
No, thank you.
Not interested.

What can I say?
Halloween is creepy to me.
It's a little disturbing.

I mean, life can be difficult enough.
I don't do the blood, poison, body part decor.
Ewww...

When my children were little, I did make the most adorable outfits.
They were cute. We had fun. Just a time to be silly.
I guess we make it what we want it to be.

I do celebrate fall.
I sit on my bench that overlooks the lake.
The air has a slight chill, but the sun feels nice and warm.
It's raining leaves all around me.

Being next to God in this moment...I celebrate and am thankful for the season of fall.

I don't do Halloween either...just celebrate Fall too.
How beautiful it must be right now as you sit on the bench and look out over the lake as the leaves are softly falling!!

I sort of do Halloween, not the creepy blood and guts...yuck! But I like real pumpkins and gourds with pressed fall leaves scattered around the house. Maybe a few orange pumpkin lights and occasionally a hanging bat and old black crow...that's about as scary as I get!

I hear ya! I do not celebrate halloween either! If one reads the origin of halloween....it isn't so innocent! I celebrate FALL/AUTUMN as well. I enjoy GODS nature, change of the seasons. I too, have no use for the EVIL looking things tho I know a lot of people just want to have FUN with it! Too much ugly stuff in this world already...have a blessed week Cindy! Roxie

Fall colors should be the decor all year round. Just love it. It make's me feel cool, and relaxed. But I do enjoy the fun of trick or treat mostly the treat.

I was like you. When we went on summer vacation every year I would start asking the kids about what they wanted to be for Halloween so I could get busy making them when we got home. I once made my daughter a 'queen' costume from old burgundy velvet drapes (a la Scarlett O'Hara) complete with fur trim!

Now, enjoying the Fall air and it's changes are good enough for me.

Hi! Cindy,

I hear what your saying. We are not into the gore & creepy Halloween either. Nothing evil or scary in our Halloween decor. Pumpkins, scarecrow(happy one lol)and candy. Halloween for us is for the kids...a fun....healthy...and positive day to enjoy.

Christmas! is our favorite holiday.

You sitting on your bench with the crisp air, sounds wonderful. Being still in the moment with God is a blessing! Fall is a gift for us to enjoy. We have much to be thankful for.

Thanks! for sharing. Have a sunny week!

Blessings & Hugs,
Marlene

Oh thank goodness there are others out there that don't do the whole Halloween thing. Dressed the kids up when they were little, but now if I have a pumpkin and a few gourds around I'm good to go. Can't wait to decorate for Christmas :)

I'm not too big on Halloween either. I do enjoy the treats, though :)
